To celebrate the zodiac sign, Converse release two collections dubbed the Converse Solar and Lunar 2018 Collections. Today we take a look at the sneakers and apparel that make up the collections.

The Solar Pack consists of two tonal offerings of the Converse One Star. Constructed out of nubuck and leather, standout features on the shoe include the color gradation print (representing the eclipse) found on the tongue top, heel stay, and Star logo. The Lunar Pack includes the Chuck Taylor All Star. Both pairs feature premium suede uppers quipped with debossed patterns note on the front quarter and clear oil print on the back of the shoe. The foxing tape includes the number and letter codes related to the custom converse details of the Lunar eclipse as well as the timing of the eclipse.

The right foot rubber toecap features a debossed print of  1.316 , the penumbral eclipse magnitude, while the left foot features an inter-changeable medial patch logo for customization.The apparel part of the collection includes a baseball jacket, hoodie, tee, pants, converse all star backpack and cap, colored in red, black and grey for men, and in pink, white and grey for women. The two new Converse collections will launch at selected Converse retail stores on January 5 for prices ranging from HKD 269 to HKD 799 (approximately $34 USD to $102 USD.)"Converse removes the classic Converse patch and replaces it with a huge C for this brand new pack dubbed the Converse Chuck Taylor Varsity Pack.

Said to be inspired by traditional varsity jackets, these iterations of the model definitely come with throwback vibes.The Converse Chuck Taylor Varsity Pack will include 4 different colorways to choose from but only two baby converse are shown above. The two above come in Enamel Red and Wolf Grey, or Egret and Mars Stone. Both colorway come constructed out a leather upper accented by the aforementioned varsity  C patch in wool and an embossed All-Star logo patch on the medial sides. Metal eyelets and an off-White rubber sole and toe are also a part of the shoe s design. Priced at $100, look for these at select retailers and Nike.com for the MSRP of $100.

CLOT and Converse will soon be releasing two collaborative versions of the Converse Fastbreak Mid. The classic 1980s basketball shoe will come dressed in your choice of Purple, Orange and Brown, or shades of Blue and Cream. Mesh, leather and hairy suede make up the construction of the upper, while a leather lining and metal eyelets provide the basketball silhouette with more of a lifestyle/boot design. Get a good look at both pairs above and pick up either pair from the CLOT x Converse Fastbreak Mid Pack on December 7th at select international retailers. A stateside release has yet to be announced.

Opting for a stylish and fancy finish, the classic Chuck Taylor model comes dressed in your choice of Black or White/Black color schemes. Both options comes with uppers converse slip on made out of canvas as well as the detailed  CDG rubber patch logos stitched on the lateral side of the heels. The Black pair comes with a matching rubber sole and toe cap, while the White pair comes with a contrasting Black sole and toe cap. A Black and White Converse patch is also placed on the medial side of the ankle to complete the major features of the shoe.
